Cooling Pillowcases

Cooling pillowcases that keep the whole pillow cool, gentle on skin and hair. Sold in pairs with a hidden zipper, in Standard, Queen and King.

Collection: Cooling Pillowcases

Everyone knows the cold side of the pillow. It is the best thirty seconds of the night, and then it is gone. Sleephoria cooling pillowcases are made so that the cold side is the only side.

The fabric is our BreezeWeave weave: silky, smooth and cool on contact, and made to keep drawing heat away from your face for as long as your head is on the pillow. Because the surface is low friction, it is also gentler than cotton on skin and hair through the night, with less drag, fewer creases and less frizz in the morning.

Each set of cool pillow cases comes as a pair with a hidden zipper, so the case stays closed and stays on, and is available in Standard, Queen and King. Put one on the pillow you already have, or pair it with our cooling sheets for a bed that stays cool from top to bottom.

Stop turning the pillow over. Just sleep.

Questions before you settle in

Do cooling pillowcases really stay cool all night?

A good one does. The difference is in the fabric: cotton absorbs your body heat and holds it, which is why a pillow feels warm within minutes. Our cooling pillow cases use a smooth, lightweight weave that moves heat away from your skin instead of storing it, so the surface under your cheek stays cool for hours rather than seconds. You will still feel warmth if the room itself is hot, but you will not feel the pillow heating up against you.

What size cooling pillowcase do I need?

Match the case to your pillow. Standard cooling pillowcases measure 20 by 26 inches, Queen measures 20 by 30 inches and King measures 20 by 36 inches. If your pillow sits between sizes, choose the larger one; the zipper closure keeps the case snug either way.

Is a cooling pillowcase the same as a cooling pillow cover?

People use both names for the same thing, and on this page they mean the same product. A cooling pillow cover or cooling pillowcase is the outer layer your face touches. Ours replaces your regular pillowcase rather than sitting under it, and the hidden zipper closes the whole pillow inside so it stays on through the night.

Can I use a cooling pillowcase on a regular pillow?

Yes, and that is how most people use them. A cooling pillow case turns the pillow you already own into a cool one, because the cooling happens at the surface where your skin makes contact. If you have a gel or cooling pillow, our case still helps: a thick cotton case blocks the cool feel, while a thin, smooth cooling case lets it through and adds moisture wicking on top.

Cooling silk pillowcase or cooling satin pillowcase: which is better for hair and skin?

Both are chosen for the same reason: a smooth, low-friction surface that is kinder to hair and skin than cotton. Sleephoria cooling pillowcases give you that silky, low-friction feel with cooling built in, so you do not have to choose between a pillowcase that is gentle on your hair and one that keeps you cool. They are machine washable, which silk usually is not.
