Cooling Comforter

A lightweight cooling comforter with a cool-to-the-touch shell and breathable down alternative fill. Twin to King, machine washable.

Collection: Cooling Comforter

Hot sleepers are usually given two choices: sleep under a comforter and wake up warm, or kick it off and wake up cold at four in the morning. The Sleephoria cooling comforter is the third choice.

Its outer shell is our BreezeWeave fabric, smooth and cool against the skin, drawing warmth away from your body through the night. Inside is a light, lofty down alternative fill that breathes instead of building heat, so you get the soft, hugging weight of a real comforter without the part that wakes you up. It is a breathable comforter for summer and a lightweight everyday comforter for the rest of the year, and it slips inside a cooling duvet cover if you prefer one.

It comes in Twin, Full, Queen and King, it is machine washable and dryer friendly, and the piped edges and double stitching keep the fill exactly where it should be, wash after wash.

Keep the covers on. Sleep through.

Questions before you settle in

What is the best comforter for hot sleepers?

The best comforter for hot sleepers is one that keeps you covered without holding heat against you. That means a shell that draws warmth away from your skin, a fill that is light and airy rather than dense, and a weight that feels like a comforter rather than a sheet. The Sleephoria cooling comforter is built on those three things: a cool-to-the-touch BreezeWeave shell, a lofty down alternative fill that breathes, and a lightweight, hugging drape. It is made for people who want to keep the covers on and still wake up rested.

Cooling comforter or cooling blanket: which one do I need?

A cooling blanket is a single layer, usually thin, meant to be used alone on the warmest nights. A cooling comforter has a fill, so it gives you the weight and softness of proper bedding while still staying cool. If you want to feel covered and sleep cool at the same time, choose the comforter. Ours is lightweight enough to use as a cool blanket for summer and substantial enough for the rest of the year.

Is a cooling comforter warm enough for winter?

For most bedrooms, yes. Our cooling comforter is a lightweight, all-season weight: cool enough to use on its own in summer, and warm enough in cooler months when layered with a flat sheet or used inside a duvet cover. If you keep your bedroom very cold in winter, you may want a heavier layer on top, but for hot sleepers it is usually the comforter they can finally use year round.

Can I put the cooling comforter inside a duvet cover?

Yes. The comforter is sized to fit a standard duvet cover of the same size. If you already own a cooling duvet cover, the comforter adds a breathable, cool fill to it. If you use it without a cover, the BreezeWeave shell is the layer against your skin, which is where it does the most good.

What size cooling comforter should I buy?

Twin measures 68 by 90 inches, Full 86 by 82 inches, Queen 90 by 90 inches and King 108 by 90 inches. A cooling comforter queen size suits most queen beds with room to drape over the sides; choose King if you share the bed and want more overhang, or if you have a deep mattress. Exact dimensions are on the product page size chart.
